The Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) is still accepting online applications for the 2026 academic year. Whether you’re a local or international applicant, there’s still time to apply for a range of programs, including diplomas, higher certificates, bachelor’s degrees, postgraduate diplomas, master’s, and PhDs. The application portal, which officially opened on May 13, 2025, remains active as of now. Keep in mind that all applications must be submitted online, as CPUT does not accept any hard-copy submissions.

Application Deadlines for 2026

The Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) is still accepting late applications for the 2026 academic year. From January 6 to January 25, 2026, prospective students can apply for programs that still have available spaces. A non-refundable late application fee of R150 will apply. All required documents must be submitted online through the official CPUT website at www.cput.ac.za, as no hard-copy submissions will be accepted.

Required Documents for 2026 Applications

You must prepare the documents below ahead of time for uploads during the late application period:

South African:

• Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification (Grade 11 results accepted)
• A copy of an ID document
• Proof of payment for manual applicants
• Original academic records or certificates (for transfer applicants)

International applicants

• Valid passport and proof of permanent residency (if applicable)
• Refugee or asylum-seeker documentation (if applicable)
• Certified school-leaving certificate (with English translation)
• Proof of payment

To apply for CPUT 2026 late admissions, follow these steps:

• Visit CPUT’s application portal at www.cput.ac.za.
• Select the “Online Applications” under step 4.
• Enter your identity number.
• Complete all required fields in the application form.
• Choose your desired qualification.
• Upload the necessary documents
• Pay the late application fee.
• Submit your form
