Does Tut offer police Courses? YES: The Tshwane University of Technology is a university that understands the current trends of issues and the prevailing course to study. Policing has been one of the greatest concerns in Africa and the world at large looking at the security structure of every country. TUT has introduced policing courses to help prepare minds and individuals on some basic policing techniques and other security concerns.
Candidates who are interested in working in law enforcement should apply to this program. Whether they want to work for the South African Police Service, the business sector, or the security industry, graduates from this nationally recognized certificate program will be able to advance the professional standards of police. Learners will learn how to communicate, manage, and investigate crimes and situations in this full- and part-time course.

A Senior CertificateΒ or an equivalent qualification with English at Higher Grade (D symbol) or Standard Grade (C symbol) and two other subjects at Higher Grade, one of which with a D symbol.
Selection criteria: Applicants who score 24 or more points according to the formula for academic merit will be considered.
Admission requirement(s):
A National Senior Certificate with a bachelorβs degree or a diploma endorsement, or an equivalent qualification, with an achievement level of at least 3 for English (home language or first additional language) and 3 for Mathematics, Technical Mathematics, or Mathematical Literacy.
Selection criteria: To be considered for this qualification, applicants must have an Admission Point Score (APS) of at least 20 (excluding Life Orientation).
APPLICANTS WITH A NATIONAL CERTIFICATE (VOCATIONAL):
Admission requirement(s):
A National Certificate (Vocational) with a bachelorβs degree or a diploma endorsement, with at least 50% for English (home language or first additional language) and 50% for Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy, 50% for Life Orientation (excluded for APS calculation), 50% for any other three compulsory vocational subjects.
Selection criteria: To be considered for this qualification, applicants must have an Admission Point Score (APS) of at least 20 (excluding Life Orientation).
