How To Apply Again At CPUT | CPUT Readmission 2026

Cape Peninsula University of Technology is currently accepting new applications from students whose previous applications were unsuccessful and who wish to reapply. This opportunity is open to both domestic and international applicants.

The application period runs from 13 May to 30 September 2026.

Applicants can submit their reapplications through the official Cape Peninsula University of Technology readmission portal.

What to do if you were previously rejected at CPUT

If you were unlucky and your application for last year’s intake wasn’t accepted, you’ll need to try again for the 2027 intake. Whether you’re a new applicant or coming back, you can find all the details about applying, including late applications, on the CPUT website: https://www.cput.ac.za/study/late-applications. Just remember, for next year, you can only submit one application form.

The Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) is accepting applications for re-admission and re-application for the January 2026 intake. The deadline for applications is September 30, 2026; however, postgraduate applications have been extended until March 15, 2027. More information can be found on the CPUT website: www.cput.ac.za.

The online application is free. Please keep in mind that only online applications are accepted, unless otherwise stated on the CPUT website.

Are you a returning student?

A returning student of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology is an applicant who has already obtained a CPUT student number. Such applicants must select ” RETURNING STUDENT” and not new applicants.

To complete your online application form for the 2026 intake, you will be asked to follow the Step-by-Step Guide to Online Applications for Students Who Have an Existing Student Number document on the website.

Please Note:

Except for the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, which allows returning students to apply to complete their studies towards phasing out programs, CPUT does not offer a second-semester intake (e.g. National Diploma, B Tech, M Tech, and D Tech programs). Each year, applications are normally open in May. (subject to change)
