Is UL Open For 2026 Application | www.ul.ac.za

The University of Limpopo (UL) is now accepting applications for the 2026 academic year, with the application window open from April to October 2025. This applies to all prospective students interested in studying undergraduate or postgraduate courses at the university.

The good news is that the University of Limpopo is one of the universities funded by the NSFAS bursary program. The NSFAS online application will open on September 1, 2025, for UL students to apply for funding. However, you must first secure your seat at UL before applying for NSFAS funding

UL 2026 Application (Opening & Closing Date)

The University of Limpopo (UL) is accepting applications for the first semester of 2026, with the application window open from April 1, 2025, to October 31, 2025. This is primarily for students who have completed their Grade 12, WASSCE, or matric exams.

Late applications will only be considered if space is available, so you are encouraged to apply early by the following dates:

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery: September 28, 2025
All undergraduate programs: October 30, 2025
Postgraduate Certificate in Education: October 31, 2025

The University of Limpopo Checklist for 2026

Ensure the documents are ready when applying for admission at the University of Limpopo (UL) for the 2026 intake in January:

Your ID if you are a South African citizen
Your passport if you are an international student
Your guardian/parent’s ID or passport if you are younger than 18 years
National Senior certificate if you have already matriculated
Your final Grade 11 results with the school’s Stamp if you are still in Grade
Your academic record, only If you are a current student at another Institution of higher learning
USAF accreditation from the examination board for South African universities. Only if you are an international student.
Apply to mbsaf.3.za for conditional exemption foreign conditional exemption, or mature age conditional exemption.

International applicants only:

South Africa’s Medical aid cover
Student Visa
Proof of English proficiency

PLEASE NOTE:

The handling or application fee for online applications is R200 for South African applicants and R750 for international applicants. Proof of payment must be attached to the application form and submitted as soon as possible before the application deadline for the 2026 intake.

To apply to the University of Limpopo (UL) for 2026, fill out the online application form at www.ul.ac.za and submit it along with all supporting documents. Applications submitted by hand will not be accepted. All submissions and inquiries must be made online through the online application portal system at the University of Limpopo (UL).

How to apply at the University of Limpopo (UL)

To apply to the University of Limpopo (UL) for 2026 admissions, follow the steps below:

To apply online, go to www.ul.ac.za.
Sign in to the I enabler.
Navigate to the academic application.
Examine the application rules and click Accept.
Go to the attended school, select School Name, and save.
Enter your school leaving subjects here.
Go to Disabilities, click Name, then select the options and save.
Proceed to the application submission page
Enter your academic qualification, save, and continue.
Before proceeding, make sure to pay your application fee. Upload the required documents, save, and continue.
Finally, click the Finished button to submit your fully completed application form.
