The University of Venda (UNIVEN) is now accepting applications for undergraduate and postgraduate programs for the 2026 academic year. Prospective students can apply for both academic and financial aid on the same application form within the application period for the academic intake

University of Venda (UNIVEN) 2026 Application Dates

The University of Venda (UNIVEN) has opened its online application portal for the 2026 academic year from April 1, 2025. The application period will close on October 30, 2025, but extensions may occur depending on available program spaces. Prospective students, particularly those who have completed Grade 12, WASSCE, or matric exams, are encouraged to apply early.

Late applications will be considered only if spaces remain in specific programs, with announcements to be made after January 2026.

To apply to the University of Venda for 2026 admissions, follow the steps below

Visit the UNIVEN application portal at www.univen.ac.za.
On the UNIVEN homepage, go to the top menu and select “Apply for Admission.”
Select “Begin online application.”
A new academic application process has begun.
Take your time reading the information.
Please proceed to the myAccess webpage and log in with your student number to continue with your application.
Pay the R100 non-refundable application fee.
Fill out and submit your application online.
You can save and resume the application process at any time during the online application process.
The applicant will be required to create a five-digit PIN.

Univen Application Documents Checklist for 2026

Ensure the documents are ready when applying for admission at the University of Venda for the 2026 intake in January:

A native of South Africa Identification or passport number (international students)
Mobile phone number
A valid email address
To pay the R100 application fee online, use a credit/debit card with a CV number.
Grade 11 report or grade 12 results statement
A duplicate of the Matriculation Certificate
A copy of your study permit/residence permit/medical insurance/SAQA evaluation certificate.

Univen Application Fee for 2026

Applicants who submit an online application must pay a non-refundable application fee of R100.00.
