How to Apply For Vaal University of Technology 2026

To apply for a course at Vaal University of Technology for the 2026 academic year, please follow the steps below.

Go to www.vut.ac.za and click on “Apply.”
Enter your personal information as requested.
Create a 5-digit login PIN.
Click on the POPI Act, read it, and accept.
Click on “Student Application.”
Fill in all required fields.
Provide your physical address.
Enter your contact details.
Complete the disability section (optional).
Enter your school leaving certificate results and symbols.
Provide your previous study results (optional).
Select the correct course you are applying for.
Upload the following documents to complete the registration process
Domestic students
- Get certified copies of your ID and final high school results (Grade 11 or 12).
- Pay the application fee of R100 (R110 for non-refundable mailing).
- Applications without payment proof won’t be accepted (mailed applications only).
For International Students:
- Pay the application fee. (R100.00)
- Provide certified copies of your passport/residence permit/ID.
- Get certified copies of your school results.
- If you’ve studied elsewhere, submit original transcripts and a conduct certificate.
- Include certified copies of any other qualifications.
- Obtain an SAQA education certificate.
- National Diploma students need a HESA certificate.

Vaal University of Technology International Applications 2026

An International or Foreign Student (anyone who does not have a South African Identity Document – ID) must complete the following steps to study at Vaal University of Technology

Choose the course you want to study. Click here for a complete list of all the courses offered by the college.
Once you’ve decided on a course, download the application form – click here – fill it out, and return it to the international office at Tygerberg Campus via fax or email, together with your Academic Qualification and a copy of your passport. Important: Include your contact information on your application form.
The International Office will then provide you with a price as well as your new student number.
