UCT Online Application 2027 Is Officially Open
The University of Cape Town (UCT) has announced that applications for the 2027 academic year are now open, starting on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. Prospective students are invited to apply for their chosen programmes, provided they meet the admission requirements for those qualifications.
Who Can Apply
University of Cape Town 2027 applications are open to anyone who wishes to start or further their qualifications. Eligible applicants include:

When Does the Application Close?
At the University of Cape Town, applications for the 2027 academic year close as follows:

Undergraduate applications: Open from April 1 to July 31, 2026. Late submissions will not be accepted, as the online system automatically closes after the deadline.

Postgraduate applications: Close on August 31, 2026.

- Pay the application fee and upload proof of payment
- Upload the rest of the documents as seen below:
- Certified copies of your academic transcripts
- Proof of English proficiency
- Contact details of two referees
- Proof of identity
- Review and click “submit” on your completed application
Apply using the UCT Hard Copy Form
- A hard copy of the application form could be downloaded from the official website
- With a black pen, fill in the information required
- Review the forms to ensure accuracy
- Walk to the bank and deposit the application fee.
