University of Limpopo 2026 Registration: Key Dates & Steps

Congratulations to those accepted to the University of Limpopo for the 2026 academic year! Students who applied during the 2026 application season and received an unconditional offer are now eligible to register for the first semester of 2026. Registration can be completed online through the university’s website at www.ul.ac.za.

The University of Limpopo has officially opened registration for both new and returning students for the 2026 academic year. If you have accepted UL’s unconditional offer to enroll for the first semester of 2026, welcome! Please follow the necessary steps to complete your registration

When and How to Register

The University of Limpopo will carry out all registration processes for the 2026 academic year online. Both new and returning students are required to register through the online portal, as manual, walk-in, or campus registration options will not be available.

Registration for the 2026 academic year opens on Thursday, January 8, 2026, for general registration. First-time students can begin registering on Thursday, January 29, 2026, with the deadline for registration set for Friday, February 6, 2026. Late registration for first-time students will be accepted until Friday, February 13, 2026.

University of Limpopo (UL) Estimated Registration Fee for 2026

The following non-refundable registration fee must be paid by all newly admitted University of Limpopo students to register for the 2026 academic year.

South African and International SADC Students – R 4 500.00 (Residence)
South African and International SADC Students – R 3 000.00 (Non-residence)
Non-SADC International Students would be R7 500.00 (Residence)
Non-SADC International Students would be R6 000.00 (Non-residence)

Please be aware that the amounts stated above are estimates, so they could change.

How to Pay for the University of Limpopo Registration

It is mandatory to deposit the non-refundable registration fee into the University bank account shown below seven (7) working days before the registration date.

The following documents must be submitted when registering for courses online at the University of Limpopo.

Certified copy of valid passport /South African I.D book/card
Certified copy(s) of qualifications/ Matric certificate
Certified copy of Marriage certificate (if applicable)
Certified copies of Academic Transcript/School Results/report/ A & O level results
Proof of registration fee payment slip (original)
HESA Certificate

How to Register at the University of Limpopo (UL) 2026

The University of Limpopo’s new student registration process is shown below.

Enter the URL of the University of Limpopo: https://ul.ac.za
Scroll down and look for online facilities. Click on the tab/link to open the IENABLER
On this page, Enter your student number and unique PIN to log in. You can create a password if you have forgotten your old one.
On your Left pan, Click on “Academic Registration“
Read and accept the Rules and regulations by clicking on “I Accept” to proceed
Click on the next step. On this page, Use the drop-box and enter the field that suits you. Click SAVE AND CONTINUE
The previous step takes you to a page where all the modules are displayed. The ticked ones are the compulsory courses that cannot be altered. Select your courses by checking the empty boxes. Click SAVE AND CONTINUE
A preview of the modules is opened. Click on Continue to proceed
Your Registration cost page opens with the estimated cost of the selected courses. Click on ACCEPT REGISTRATION
A preview of Proof of Registration is launched. Click on Continue to proceed to the next step
Download or Print the proof of Registration and proceed to Register for Accommodation or Residence.
