We are happy to announce that the 2026 application cycle is scheduled to open to all prospective students on Saturday, March 1, 2025. All are invited to apply for their chosen undergraduate or graduate courses, regardless of their citizenship.

WITS Online Application 2026 Closing Date

The closing dates according to WITS administration vary depending on the program you’re applying for. For the 2026 academic calendar, here’s a breakdown:

Faculty of Health Sciences (all programs), Bachelor of Architectural Studies, Bachelor of Audiology, Bachelor of Speech-Language Pathology, and BA Film and TV: June 30, 2025.
All other programs and residence applications: September 30, 2025.

WITS Prospectus Publication Date 2025

The WITS Prospectus, containing detailed information about programs, admission requirements, and fees, is usually published in February of the year preceding the intended study year. This means you can expect the 2026 Prospectus to be available sometime in early 2025.

WITS University Late Applications After Deadline

WITS University Online Application Fee For 2026

Starting in 2025, South African citizens will pay an R100 application fee, while foreign nationals will be charged R700. These fees must be paid before or on the application deadline. Be sure to keep the original receipt and upload a copy online during the application period.

You can apply using the WITS Online Application platform. Postal or manual applications will not be processed. Online applications are required for WITS 2026 and can be submitted at www.wits.ac.za.
