If you applied to the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) for the 2026 academic year and are unsure about your admission status, it is now easier than ever to monitor your progress. Wits has launched an online service that allows you to check your admission status at any time and from any location with your phone or tablet

When Will You Know Your Application Status?

Following a decision, the dashboard will display the status of your application. After the deadline, you have five to ten working days to use your student number to check your enrollment status.

What You Need to Check Your Status

• Access the Portal: Visit https://self-service.wits.ac.za/.
• Current Students: Use your current student password.
• New Applicants: Enter your date of birth in the format (YYMMDD) as your password.
