The University of the Western Cape (UWC) is offering a second chance for applicants who couldn’t register during the first application period for the 2026 intake. A late application window, open from January 10 to February 14, 2025, will be available for certain undergraduate courses that still have spots. These courses are listed in this article for interested applicants.
Are Admission Requirements Necessary for Late Applications?
The admission requirements for late applications remain the same as those for the main application window. The only difference is the application dates. Late applicants must still meet the minimum requirements and the specific faculty criteria to be considered for admission.
Who Can Apply for Late Applications at UWC?
The late application window is not open to everyone. It is intended for those who were unable to apply during the initial application period. Additionally, previous applicants who were denied admission can reapply during this period, provided they meet the admission requirements and may consider changing their course of study.
Unsuccessful applicants:
Those who desire to reapply for a different preference or who submit their applications after the deadlines must do so through the Central Applications Clearing House (CACH). Candidates should register for CACH using the USSD code *134*225#, the WhatsApp Chatbot (078 776 8660), or online at cach.ac.za. Additionally, applicants can learn more on the CACH SA Facebook page.
