The University offers two application methods: online and manual. Applicants can choose the method that suits them best but cannot use both methods simultaneously.
How to Apply Online to UFH (University of Fort Hare)
Below are the guidelines for applying to the University of Fort Hare
- Go to www.ufh.ac.za to access the UFH Online Application portal.
- In the upper-right corner of the homepage, choose “Apply Now” and click on it.

If you want to study at the University of Fort Hare (UFH), you must meet the following minimum admission requirements for your chosen qualification be it a degree, diploma, or postgraduate degree:
- Applicants holding a South African National Senior Certificate (NSC) need to pass a minimum of 4 subjects at a rating of 4 (Adequate Achievement, 50-59%) or better in any four 20-credit NSC subjects.
- Applicants holding a South African Senior Certificate need matriculation endorsement.
