University of Pretoria Opens Applications for 2025-2026 Academic Year

The University of Pretoria (UP) is now accepting applications for the 2025-2026 academic year, starting with the first semester in 2025. Applications open on April 1, 2024, and are particularly encouraged for students who have recently completed their Grade 12, Wassce, or matric exams. The application portal will close on June 30, 2024, although this deadline may be extended to accommodate late applicants for available courses.

Limited Late Applications Accepted at UP for 2025/2026 (Except Veterinary Science)

The University of Pretoria (UP) may consider applications submitted after the deadline only if space remains in the program. Due to limited capacity, applying early (before June 30th, 2024) is highly encouraged.

Go to www.upnet.up.ac.za/psc/upapply.
Choose “Start New Application” from the drop-down menu.
On the privacy notice pop-up, click OK.
Fill in the blanks with your information (Personal information)
Check that the characters in the security code field are entered correctly.
Go to the Go tab.
A disclaimer appears; carefully read it before proceeding (Do not discard this page)
Fill in your information in the provided dropbox.
Select the OK button.
On the next page, confirm your application and click continue to proceed.
An ID and a temporary Password will be emailed to you. During the application process, a working email address is required.
Start your application with this ID number and password by clicking on the link in your email.
If you want, you can create your password.
To proceed, click the “save and next” button.
The application summary page is now editable. This is the application’s starting point.
Start and edit your online application
Upload the necessary documents in the proper format.
Pay your non-refundable application fee into the university’s official account.
If you believe you are finished, click the submit button.
