Start A New University of Pretoria Application For 2024-2025

The University of Pretoria, one of the world’s best, is now accepting applications for the January 2024-2025 intake. Because of its current capacity, the University of Pretoria (UP) has released an online application form for all prospective students interested in studying an undergraduate or postgraduate course for the academic year 2024-2025. The University of Pretoria will open its online application for the 2024 intake on April 1, 2023, and will remain open until June 30, 2024.

Prospective students who want to apply to the University of Pretoria for the academic year 2024-2025 but are unsure how to do so should go to the official website at www.up.ac.za online application login and follow the instructions. To begin a new application at the University of Pretoria, you will need a smart device as well as supporting documentation such as your ID number/passport number and academic qualification. To start a new application at UP for 2024-2025, the following requirements must be met:

Your local police station must certify these documents.
The Certification must be no more than 60 days old at the time of application.

Check that your ID card is a government-issued identification card.
Fill out all of the fields marked with a red *.
Your academic credentials must be a scanned copy of the original issued by your previous institute.
Indicate on the University of Pretoria application form if you require campus housing.

There is an application fee for applying to the University of Pretoria, and if you do not pay it, your application will be rejected.

Every applicant for the University of Pretoria Admission must pay an R300 non-refundable application fee. The University of Pretoria will only accept and process your application if all required documents, including proof of payment of the application fee for 2024-2025, are received within the application deadlines.

Before applying to the University of Pretoria, you should download the prospectus and read about the entry and minimum requirements of the course you want to study in 2024 at the University of Pretoria. You may select up to two study options as first and second choices on the application form. During the online application process, you will be able to select the course code from a drop box.

How to Start a new Application at the University of Pretoria for 2024-2025

To start a new application at the University of Pretoria, you must follow the steps below for 2024-2025:

Go to www.upnet.up.ac.za/psc/upapply.
Choose “Start New Application” from the drop-down menu.
On the privacy notice pop-up, click OK.
Fill in the blanks with your information (Personal information)
Check that the characters in the security code field are entered correctly.
Go to the Go tab.
A disclaimer appears; carefully read it before proceeding (Do not discard this page)
Fill in your information in the provided dropbox.
Select the OK button.
On the next page, confirm your application and click continue to proceed.
An ID and a temporary Password will be emailed to you. During the application process, a working email address is required.
Start your application with this ID number and password by clicking on the link in your email.
If you want, you can create your own password.
To proceed, click the “save and next” button.
The application summary page is now editable. This is the application’s starting point.
Start and edit your online application
Upload the necessary documents in the proper format.
Pay your non-refundable application fee into the university’s official account.
If you believe you are finished, click the submit button.

Please Note:

Once your online application has been processed, you will receive a student number(EMPLID).
Receiving a student number (EMPLID) does NOT imply that you have been accepted by the University of Pretoria yet. Admission is a separate process that your application undergoes after being evaluated by the relevant faculty.

When you start using the Online Application you will be requested to indicate the “Career” for which you are applying.
- If you have never studied before or have not obtained any degree yet (new first-year students), please select an Undergraduate career.
- If you have already obtained one or more degree/s, please select a Postgraduate career.

How to Upload the University of Pretoria Outstanding documents

To upload all supporting and required documents, go through the steps below:

Click on the Load/ View Document to submit your first document
Click on the UPLOAD DOCUMENT button
Select your saved scanned Matric document (document must be saved as .tiff, pdf, .jpg or .gif) from your device
Click on the SAVE and then the CLOSE button
Click on the CLOSE button again
Click on the CLOSE button again
Select the COMPLETE UPLOAD button to finalize your online application process
