Prospective students, including those applying for undergraduate, postgraduate, and international programs, are invited to apply online for the 2026 academic year starting in April 2025.

Application Deadlines:

Early Decision:
- June 30, 2025: MBChB, BPharm, and BRad
- August 2, 2025: All other early applications (excluding MBChB, BPharm & BRad)
Regular Decision:
- September 30, 2025: All applications (excluding MBChB, BPharm & BRad)
- September 30, 2025: International student applications

Student Housing:

September 30, 2025: Secure on-campus or off-campus accommodation

Required Documents for NMU Applications (2026 Academic Year)

All applicants must submit their supporting documents before the specified deadlines to ensure their applications are considered for the 2026 academic year. Late or incomplete document submissions will not be accepted.

Undergraduate Applicants

A verified copy of your Grade 11 final test results or
A certified copy of your most recent Grade 12 exam results (June/September) (no March results), or
A certified copy of your matriculation certificate/statement of results if you have already passed Grade 12/completed schooling,
Certified copies of your diploma/degree certificates plus academic record(s) and certificate(s) of conduct if you have studied elsewhere,
A certified copy of your ID (birth certificate if still waiting for ID),
A certified copy of the identity document of your parent/legal guardian/surety,
If you are a dependent, if you are presently in school, or studying at a tertiary institution, or if you have recently left school and do/will not have permanent work when applying or studying at the university, you must provide a declaration by your parent / legal guardian/surety.

Postgraduate Applicants

A certified copy of your matriculation/school leaving certificate,
Certified copies of your diploma/degree certificates plus academic record(s) and certificate(s) of conduct,
A certified copy of your ID,
A certified copy of the identity document of your parent/legal guardian/surety,
A declaration by your parent / legal guardian/surety if you are a dependant, studying at a higher education institution, or do/will not have permanent employment when applying or studying at the University.

International Applicants

An applicant’s Passport (Not less than 3 months to expire)

Application Fee Payment for 2026 Admissions:

International applicants must pay the R500 non-refundable application fee and submit proof of payment before the application deadline for the 2026 academic year. Applications without proof of payment will not be processed.

Registration Details for Accepted Applicants:

Successful applicants will receive information about the registration process in January 2026. Applicants need to stay alert and check their communications after submitting their applications for the 2026 intake.
