A non-refundable application fee of R240 must be deposited into the TUT ABSA account: 04 000 000 3. Use your student number (provided after applying) as the reference. Failure to provide proof of payment will result in the rejection of applications.

To qualify for admission to the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), your National Senior Certificate (NSC) results must meet the general entry requirements below:
| Qualification Type | Minimum NSC Requirement |
| Higher Certificate | A National Senior Certificate (NSC) as certified by Umalusi. |
| Diploma | NSC with an achievement rating of 3 (40–49%) or better in four recognised 20-credit subjects. |
| Bachelor’s Degree | NSC with an achievement rating of 4 (50–59%) or better in four recognised 20-credit subjects. |
