Knowing how to navigate the online registration process as you get ready to start your academic journey will help you settle into university life with ease. The purpose of this article is to help first-year students understand the ins and outs of registering online at TUT for the next academic year. Let’s get into the specifics so you can confidently and easily begin your academic journey.
Your application status will indicate UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE if you have been accepted without any requirements, such as passing a selection exam, conducting interviews, or completing any other assignments. This implies that you may register between January and February of 2024.
On the other hand, if your application indicates CONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE, you are accepted; however, there might be extra requirements (like unissued Grade 12 results or incomplete documentation) that could prevent or hinder your registration during the January–February window.
Tshwane University of Technology TUT encourages you to register online for the 2024 academic year. Comprehensive information on the registration process and dates is available on this page. Online registration for first-year students commences on 20 January 2024. Online registration for senior students also commences on 20 January 2024. If you require in-person assistance regarding your registration, TUT will be open from 24 January 2024
Upon registering in January/February and July at Tshwane University of Technology, an initial payment of R1,500 is required. First-year students who have already paid the R500 confirmation fee will only have to pay R 1000 when they register for the 2024 academic year.

Before registering, both new and returning students must pay a minimum of R1,500 as the first installment of the total tuition fees due. It takes three (3) working days for payments made into the University’s bank account to appear on the student’s statement of accounts.
