Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) is now accepting applications for undergraduate and graduate programs in the 2025-2026 academic year. If you have outstanding academic credentials, you can apply for the January 2026 intake between March 1 and September 30, 2025. TUT provides well-known and internationally recognized courses.

TUT Now Accepting Applications for the 2026 Academic Year

Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) is presently accepting applications for the academic year 2026. Late entries will not be allowed, and all applications must be submitted online. When submitting your documents, do not forget to include proof that you paid the application cost.

Tshwane University of Technology’s (TUT) Required Application Documents:

Prospective students should make sure the following documents are clear and uploaded during the online application process at Tshwane University of Technology for the 2025–2026 academic year:

• Certified copies of your identity document
• Certified copy of your Senior Certificate/National Senior Certificate and all other relevant documents.
• Certified Grade 11 report
• proof of non-refundable application fee

Sending the aforementioned documents to TUT via fax or email is not required. After these documents have been scanned into PDF, Doc, Docx, TIFF, PNG, JPG, or JPEG formats, they should be uploaded through the application portal.

Prospective applicants must pay a non-refundable application fee of R240.00 at ABSA Bank, using their identification number as the reference. Proof of payment must be uploaded by September 30, 2025

To start the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) online application process for 2026, you need to follow the steps mentioned below.

• Click on the “MENU” tab at the top of the homepage.
• From the drop-down list, select “Study at TUT.”
• Click on “I want to Study.”
• Carefully read the information on the screen.
• Click “What can I study” on the left to explore TUT’s programs and courses for 2026 and their specific admission requirements.
• Click on “Admission Point Score” to check if you meet the minimum AP Score for your chosen program.
• Click on “Admission Requirements” to view the general admission requirements at TUT.
• Upload all supporting documents
• Pay the application fee
• Upload the proof of payment

Steps to Track TUT Application Status for 2026

After your application to the TUT university has been submitted and reviewed, TUT will notify you of the outcome of the application via SMS and email 3-5 weeks after the closing date. However, you can check and track the TUT status or progress of your application online for the 2026 academic year.

Here are the steps for checking your TUT University application status for 2026:

• First, visit www.tut.ac.za.
• Choose “Menu” and click it at the top of the screen.
• Next, select the “Study at TUT” tab.
• Proceed to select and click on the “APPLY NOW” tab.
• Do you currently have a student number? If so, click “Yes”
• To proceed with your application, click “Next”.
• To log in, enter your student number and pin.
• The status of the courses you have applied for can be seen by scrolling down.
