TUT Application Opening and Closing Dates For 2025-2026

The application period for Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) 2025 is currently open in South Africa. From Friday, March 1, 2024, to Monday, September 30, 2024, prospective students who wish to study there can now submit their applications online. Applications received after this date will not be taken into consideration. Tshwane University of Technology’s (TUT) Required Application Documents:

Prospective students should make sure the following documents are clear and uploaded during the online application process at Tshwane University of Technology for the 2025–2026 academic year:

  • Certified copies of your identity document
  • Certified copy of your Senior Certificate/National Senior Certificate and all other relevant documents.
  • Certified Grade 11 report
  • proof of non-refundable application fee of R240

Sending the aforementioned documents to TUT via fax or email is not required. After these documents have been scanned into PDF, Doc, Docx, TIFF, PNG, JPG, or JPEG formats, they should be uploaded through the application portal.

Upon application, prospective applicants must pay a non-refundable application fee of R240.00, which must be deposited beforehand at ABSA Bank using the identification number as Reference. Proof of payment must be uploaded before 30 September 2024

Steps to Apply Online at TUT University for 2025-2026

To start the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) online application process for 2025, you need to follow the steps mentioned below.

  • Go to the TUT website at www.tut.ac.za
  • At the top of the TUT homepage, click on the “MENU” tab
  • A drop-down list of items appears
  • Click on “Study at TUT”
  • After that, click on “I want to Study”
  • Read the information you see on the screen very carefully
  • Then, click on “What can I study” on the left side of the page to view TUT’s various programmes and courses for 2024 and their specific admission requirements and decide on the programme of choice
  • Click on the “Admission Point Score” to know the specific TUT AP Score for 2024. This is to assist prospective students in checking if they meet the minimum course entry requirements before they apply for a specific course at TUT.
  • Also, click on “Admission Requirements to view the minimum general admission requirements at TUT
  • Go to Application information, complete and submit your application online.

Steps to Track TUT Application Status for 2025

After your application to the TUT university has been submitted and reviewed, TUT will notify you of the outcome of the application via SMS and email 3-5 weeks after the closing date. However, you can check and track the TUT status or progress of your application online for the 2025 academic year.

Here are the steps for checking your TUT University application status for 2025:

  • First, visit www.tut.ac.za.
  • Choose “Menu” and click it at the top of the screen.
  • Next, select the “Study at TUT” tab.
  • Proceed to select and click on the “APPLY NOW” tab.
  • Do you currently have a student number? If so, click “Yes”
  • To proceed with your application, click “Next”.
  • To log in, enter your student number and pin.
  • The status of the courses you have applied for can be seen by scrolling down.
