How to Apply at the University of Cape Town (UCT) Online Application Form 2026

If you want to study at UCT, apply for 2026 admission to Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies. To apply, follow the steps below:

Go to www.uct.ac.za.
From the menu at the top, select “Applicants & Students.”
Go over the given material.
From the list, choose “Prospective Students.”
After reading the welcome message, continue.
Select the tab for “Applications.”
From the drop-down menu, select “Apply.”
Decide if you are an undergraduate or graduate student.
Examine and read the instructions for the application.
To begin, click “Apply Online.”
Fill out the application online.
Choose your application year and qualifications.
To continue, click “Click here to continue.”
Submit Required Documents
- Upload the following documents:

- - Examination results from Grade 11 and September of Grade 12 (for current learners)
  - Transcripts and academic records (for transferring students)

Pay the Application Fee
Pay the non-refundable application fee:
1. - Undergraduate & Postgraduate Applicants (South Africa & SADC region): R100
  - Undergraduate & Postgraduate Applicants (Outside SADC region): R300
  - Graduate School of Business (GSB) Applicants (South Africa & African citizens/residents): R1940
  - GSB Applicants (Outside Africa): USD 300

How to Boost Your Chances of Getting Into UCT

To increase your chances of getting into UCT, focus on getting great grades in Grades 11 and 12, and aim for top scores on the NBTs (National Benchmark Tests). Each program has its entry requirements, so it’s a good idea to apply for two different programs on the UCT portal (www.uct.ac.za). This way, you open up more opportunities.
