How to Check Application Status at UMP for 2026

If you applied through the Central Application Office (CAO) for the 2026 academic intake to the University of Mpumalanga, follow the steps below to check your application status:

Go to the CAO application page at www.cao.ac.za
Click on “Check My Status” on the left side of the page
Select and enter one of the following identification numbers:
- CAO Number or ID Number or Passport Number
Click the Submit button
Wait for the real-time feedback

Remember, the Central Application Office (CAO) is merely a processing platform, but the final decision will be made by the University of Mpumalanga.

Once you are accepted, an offer will be sent to you via email by UMP, which you must accept in preparation for registration for the semester.
