Undergraduate applications

Bachelor of Education in Foundation Phase Teaching: 30 September 2025
Honours Programmes, Advanced Diplomas, and Postgraduate Diplomas: 30 November 2025
All programmes: 30 November 2025

Postgraduate applications

Masters programmes: 15 January 2026
Doctoral Programmes: 15 January 2026

How to Apply to UMP

There is still good news: the application form has not yet closed for the 2026 academic intake. Follow the steps below to apply as soon as possible:

To begin, go to www.ump.ac.za.
Scroll down and click the “Click here to apply” option
Capture your biographical information and click “next” to proceed with your application
Capture results details then add subjects and click “next”;
Capture educational institution details and click “Next”;
Capture academic application details (choose 2 choices/programmes you wish to apply for), click on “add the qualification” and thereafter click “next”;
Verify/Check your application details then click “Continue”
Create your 5-digit PIN
Click the “I accept”(twice) checkbox thereafter click “Submit Application”
Upload the following documents:
- Certified copies of your identity document,
- Senior Certificate/National Senior Certificate
- Proof of non-refundable application fee
Click “Finish upload” once all of the documents have been uploaded”
