UNISA Application Opening Date 2024/2025

All interested and qualified applicants are welcome to complete the University of South Africa (Unisa) online admission application form 2024, regardless of color, ethnicity, ethnic identity, religion, gender, or country of origin, as long as they meet the program requirements.

South Africans and interested overseas applicants can apply electronically or manually for admission to the University of South Africa (Unisa) as Government Sponsored or Private candidates because UNISA is affordable. Applicants will, however, learn how to manually apply to the University of South Africa in this post.

 

UNISA Opening Application Dates 2024-2025

Review the list of opening and closing dates provided below to ensure that you submit your application on time. You will need an internet connection as well as a regular email address to use the Online Application System, as a student number (EMPLID) will be sent to this address as confirmation of receipt once you finish your online application. The online application for all undergraduate and postgraduate diploma programmes at the University of South Africa opens on September 1, 2023, but will be open for Masters and Doctorate programs on September 11, 2023.

Application Fee Payable for 2024 after the Opening Date.

  • A non-refundable application fee of R125 for online applications is payable by all applicants.
  • Use the student number you receive from Unisa AND the application fee reference number
  • Send the proof of payment to susdepid@unisa.ac.za
  • The due date for the application fee is the closing date for the application period. Any application submitted without an application fee paid on time will not be processed.

Supporting Documents Required by the UNISA Online Applications

All applicants starting a new qualification must upload all the required documents stated below during the application process. Failure to do so will render your application invalid. The closing date for all submissions is listed above:

  • A copy of an applicant’s school qualifications
  • Academic transcript certified by the applicant’s previous institution
  • Copy of your ID document (RSA students) or ID/passport (international students)
  • An applicant who is divorced must submit proof of the divorce
  • Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans

Required formats for the supporting documents

  • Files may not be larger than 2MB (2048KB) each.
  • Only black and white documents may be submitted.
  • Only the following file types are allowed: PDF (Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format file), DOC (Word document file), or TIF (image file)

To apply to THE University of South Africa UNISA for 2024 admissions, follow the steps below:

  • Log onto https://www.unisa.ac.za/sites/corporate/default/Apply-for-admission
  • Select your Qualification ” UNDERGRADUATE, POSTGRADUATE”
  • Read the instructions from Step 1 to Step 3
  • Click on the “Apply for Admission” Option
  • Read the instructions on the page that opens very carefully before you proceed to the next stage.
  • Click on first-time Unisa Applicants/ Returning Applicants
  • Enter your passport or ID number
  • Fill in your details with accurate information
  • Upload the documents that are applicable to you
  • After a successful application, a student number would be generated automatically.
