This article is intended to inform the general public, parents, guardians, and all interested individuals that the official application cycle for the University of Mpumalanga’s 2026 intake is now open. The application process is designed to accept new students into each program offered at the university.

All first-year and returning applications to the University of Mpumalanga must be submitted through the online system at www.ump.ac.za/apply, regardless of the qualification level. Applicants can apply for multiple courses, but the application fee remains the same, no matter how many courses are chosen

How to Apply Online for the University of Mpumalanga 2026

To apply online for the first time to the University of Mpumalanga for the 2026 academic intake, follow the guidelines below:

To begin, go to www.ump.ac.za.
Scroll down and click the “Click here to apply” option
Capture your biographical information and click “next” to proceed with your application;
Capture results details then add subjects and click “next”;
Capture educational institution details and click “Next”;
Capture academic application details (choose 2 choices/programmes you wish to apply for), click on “add the qualification” and thereafter click “next”;
Verify/Check your application details then click “continue”;
Create your 5-digit PIN, click the “I accept”(twice) checkbox thereafter click “Submit Application”;
Upload your documents, select “yes” on the dropdown list if all your documents are ready to be uploaded, and then click “next”;
Click “Load/View Document” >> “Upload document” >> “Choose/Browse file” Go to the folder where your documents are stored, choose the relevant document, and click “Save”;
Click “Finish upload” once all of the documents have been uploaded”;
