Unizulu Online Application Closing Date 2025/2026

The University of Zululand (UNIZULU) is currently accepting applications for its undergraduate and graduate programs for the 2025–2026 academic year. Applications will commence on April 1, 2024, and the general application period is October 31, 2024. It’s important to keep in mind that some programs may have an earlier deadline of August 31, 2024. Important note: Late applications will not be accepted. Please ensure you submit your application by the following deadlines:

Information about late applications and document submission:

Applications received after September 30 will incur an additional late application fee set by the Central Applications Office (CAO).
Any documents submitted after the official closing date for the academic year 2025/2026 will be rejected by the CAO system.

Applicants outside of South Africa

GCE, GCSE, IGCSE, or Cambridge School Certificate
Students holding a GCE GCSE IGCSE or the Cambridge School Certificate must have passed five approved ordinary-level subjects including the English language provided three subjects have been passed at the same examination sitting.

How to apply to Unizulu through the Central Applications Office (CAO)

1. Check Eligibility:

Ensure you meet the minimum admission requirements for Unizulu. This typically involves a National Senior Certificate (NSC) with specific subject passes and achievement levels. Refer to the Unizulu website or CAO booklet for details.

2. Register with CAO:

Visit the CAO website (http://www.cao.ac.za/) and register for an account. This allows you to access the online application portal.

3. Apply Online:

Log in to your CAO account and initiate a new application.
Select “University of Zululand” as one of your preferred institutions.
Choose the specific program you’re interested in at Unizulu.
Carefully review and complete the application form, providing accurate information about your academic history, qualifications, and contact details.
Upload any required supporting documents, such as certified copies of your transcripts and ID.

4. Pay Application Fee:

Refer to the CAO website or booklet for the current application fee.
Pay the fee through the designated methods listed by CAO (e.g., online payment, bank deposit).
Upload proof of payment within the application portal.

5. Submit Application:

Once you’ve completed all sections, reviewed your application thoroughly, and uploaded necessary documents, submit your application electronically through the CAO portal.
