University of the Western Cape Applications Dates (2026)

The University of the Western Cape (UWC) is still accepting applications for 2026, so if you have not already, apply soon! Applications commenced on April 1st, 2025, and will close on September 30, 2025, at noon South African Standard Time (SAST). Do not wait till the last minute! You cannot check your status until you have submitted your application

How to Check Your Application Status After Grade 12 Results

If you haven’t heard back about your application within 5 working days (120 hours) after your final Grade 12 results, visit the application dashboard with your login details to check your status. Your status should be updated within 48 hours of the Grade 12 results release. You can see if you’ve been accepted, or declined, or if your application is still under review.

Track UWC 2026 Application Status

Follow the steps below to check the University of the Western Cape application status for 2026

• Go to www.uwc.ac.za
• Select the “Admission & Financial Aid” menu
• Click on the “Apply” option from the drop-down list
• Scroll down to the middle of the page
• Select and click on the “Check Status” link
• You will be taken to the Status section
• Choose the third option, “Check application status here”
• Enter your student number and PIN
• Click on “View” to see your current admission status
