University of Pretoria Key Application Dates for 2026

Applications for undergraduate programs at the University of Pretoria open on April 1, 2025, and close on June 30, 2025. However, the Veterinary Science deadline is on May 30, 2025. Since spaces are limited and late applications will not be accepted, it is strongly recommended to submit your application as soon as possible

How to Apply to the University of Pretoria

Follow these procedures to apply for admission to UP in 2026:

Visit the Application Portal
Click on “Start New Application.
Click “OK” to accept the privacy notice that pops up.
Enter Personal Information
Enter Security Code
Click the “Next” tab.
Read the disclaimer carefully and click “OK.”
Fill in the required fields and click “OK.”
Verify your details and click “Continue.”
Look for your temporary password and unique ID in your email.
Log in using the email link by entering your ID and password.
Click on Next to proceed.
Edit Application
Make changes and upload documents.
Pay the non-refundable application fee
Click “Submit” to complete your application

Application Fee for 2026

All applicants must pay a non-refundable R300 application fee. Before submitting your application, you must pay the cost. You must email the payment receipt along with your application documents. Your application will be rejected if you do not provide evidence of payment.

Grade 12 Final Exam Results
Proof of application fee payment
