The online application form for the 2024 intake at the University of Pretoria will be open on April 1, 2023. The University of Pretoria will open the online application portal/login for both undergraduate and postgraduate applicants in South Africa from April 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024. The international online application deadline for the University of Pretoria’s 2024 intake is June 15, 2024/2025. In both cases, late applications will be rejected.

The University of Pretoria Online Application Requirements For 2024-2025

You must meet the requirements below when applying to the University of Pretoria:

• Completed the full online application form, AND
• Uploaded all the necessary scanned supporting documents in .pdf format, AND
• Either paid the application fee by credit card OR upload proof of bank deposit at Standard Bank, Account Number 012602604 (see checklist).
• If you have not clicked APPLY, your form has not been submitted.

After your application has been processed you will receive communication from the University of Pretoria, explaining how to access your Student Centre through the UP Student Portal, enabling you to track your progress and status, as well as other communications and possible outstanding items. Some applications for specialised fields might only be processed after the official closing date.

• Upload the required documents in their right format
• Pay your Application Fee that is non-refundable into the university’s official account details
• Click on the submit button if you think you’re done

Owing to specific capacity constraints, the University of Pretoria reserves the right to select candidates for admission to specific fields of study. This means that prospective students who comply with the minimum requirements will not automatically be admitted to the courses in question. Because of the capacity limitations and the high demand from students for admission to particular fields of study, students will be selected on the basis of their Grade 12 results for admission to these fields.
