How to Apply to CUT Online For 2025-2026
This guide outlines the process for applying to the Central University of Technology (CUT) as a new student.
Step 1: Navigate to the CUT Website
- Visit the official CUT website: https://www.cut.ac.za/
- On the menu bar, click on “Student” and then “Prospective Student.”
- Scroll down the page and click on “Application Process.”
Step 2: Start Your Application
- On the left side of the page, select the “New Application” tab.
- Click on “New Applications” and carefully read the instructions for new applicants.
- Agree to the terms and conditions by clicking “Accept.”
Step 3: Enter Your Personal Information
- Fill out the “Biographical Data” section with your details exactly as they appear on your South African ID or Passport.
- Verify that all information is accurate and click “Continue.”
Step 4: Complete Your Application Form
- Follow the prompts on the screen, completing each section and clicking “Next” to proceed.
- Choose to upload your Grade 12 certificate manually or select automatic upload if completed.
- Under “Educational Information,” indicate your qualifications, including where, when, and what subjects you completed.
- Select your desired course (first and second choice) based on program requirements.
Step 5: Review and Submit Your Application
- Carefully review all information entered and correct any errors.
- Upload the required documents – your application is incomplete without them.
- Verify that all documents are uploaded successfully (indicated by “Yes”).
- Click “Submit Application” and enter the program code for the program you wish to study.
- Click on the program code in blue to add it to your profile.
- Verify that the program is listed under “View Completed Application(s).”
- You will receive an email confirmation upon successful application submission.
How to Upload the Required Documents
- Read which document is required, then click Load/View Document.
- Click Upload Document.
- Click Browse and select the document from your device.
- Click Save once you have browsed to document.
