Central University of Technology (CUT) Online Application 2026

The application cycle for the Central University of Technology (CUT) is now open for both undergraduate and graduate programs. This is your opportunity to apply for the course you’ve always wanted at CUT.

CUT Key Application Date For 2026

CUT is inviting applications for undergraduate and graduate programs for the 2026 academic year. The application period will be open from May 13, 2025, to September 30, 2025, with no late applications accepted. This is your opportunity to apply for your selected course at CUT!

CUT Application Fee For 2026

Great news! Applying to the Central University of Technology (CUT) for 2026 is fee-free. The university does not require any processing fee during the application process. All you need to do is complete the online form and submit it, along with all supporting documents, before the deadline.

Ensure strict adherence to the following:

  • Internet access connectivity
  • An email address you regularly check since you will get a confirmation email with your student number (EMPLID) as soon as your online application is submitted.
  •  All the required documents must be in PDF formats (Scanned)
  • Documents are labeled correctly
  • There is no encryption or passwords on the file

How to Apply to CUT Online For 2026

This guide outlines the process for applying to the Central University of Technology (CUT) as a new student.

  • Visit www.cut.ac.za.
  • Click “Student” and then “Prospective Student.”
  • Under “Application Process,” click on “New Application.”
  • Select the “New Application” tab on the left.
  • Read and accept the instructions for new applicants.
  • Agree to the terms and conditions by clicking “Accept.”
  • Fill out the “Biographical Data” section as per your ID or Passport.
  • Verify the information and click “Continue.”
  • Complete each section and click “Next.”
  • Upload your Grade 12 certificate or choose automatic upload.
  • Enter your educational details, including qualifications and subjects.
  • Select your desired course choices based on program requirements.
  • Review and correct any errors in the information.
  • Upload all required documents (marked “Yes” when successful).
  • Click “Submit Application” and enter the program code.
  • Click the program code in blue to add it to your profile.
  • Confirm the program is listed under “View Completed Application(s).”
  • You will receive an email confirmation once your application is submitted.

How to Upload the Required Documents

  • Read which document is required, then click Load/View Document.
  • Click Upload Document.
  • Click Browse and select the document from your device.
  • Click Save once you have browsed to document.

Current Matriculants: starting your application will not require any documents.

Already Matriculated applicants:

  •   upload your ID
  • Senior Certificate.

Higher Qualifications than matric: 

  • upload your ID
  • Senior Certificate.
  • Your qualification(s)
  • Academic study record
