CPUT 2026 Admissions Guide: Application Dates and Document Checklist

This article is intended to inform the general public, parents, guardians, and all interested individuals that the official application cycle for the Cape Peninsula University of Technology’s 2026 intake is now open. The application process is designed to accept new students into each program offered at the university.

All first-year applications to Cape Peninsula University of Technology must be submitted through the application portal online at www.cput.ac.za, regardless of the qualification level. Applicants can apply for multiple courses, but the application fee remains the same, no matter how many courses are chosen

Be sure to submit your application according to the dates below to be considered for the 2026 intake at CPUT

  • Application Opening Date: Tuesday, May 13, 2025
  • Closing Date:
    • Non-SA Citizens and SA Citizens with International Qualifications: August 30, 2025

       

    • South African Citizens (Refugees, Permanent Residents): Undergraduate Programs (including Advanced Diplomas): Deadline extended to September 30, 2025
  • Submission of supporting documents: Midnight of September 30, 2025

Complete List of Documents for CPUT 2026 Application

Certified copies of the following documents must accompany each 2026 Application of Cape Peninsula University of Technology:

Application documents (for South African applicants)

  • Grade 11 final results, grade 12 June exam results, National Senior Certificate or Statement of Results
  • Identity Document or ID card
  • Students transferring from other universities should submit an academic record and a certificate of conduct.

Non-South African applicants

  • A valid passport
  • A valid medical insurance cover
  • Police clearance certificate
  • A certified copy of your school-leaving certificate, together with an English translation

N.B.: Ensure all the documents above are certified and scanned before you submit them.

Cape Peninsula University of Technology Application Fee (2026)

Cape Peninsula University of Technology has issued application fees for the 2026 academic year. Online applications are free, whereas manual applications charge R100, according to management.

To ensure your application is processed without delay, you can pay the application fee at the Cashier’s Office or via the bank account provided here.
