How to Apply Online at UNISA For 2025
The University of South Africa (UNISA) has launched an online application portal for the academic cycle 2025. Both domestic and international students can apply for courses. The portal will accept applications between August 21 and November 22, 2024. UNISA does not review applications sent via email, fax, or postal service. The University of South Africa (UNISA) will open the first semester of the 2025 academic cycle for undergraduate applicants on August 21, while postgraduate applications will open on September 2. New and returning students can apply for the second semester of the 2024 academic year from April 1 to July 14, 2025.
The request is for all application documents to be prepared to ensure submission before the 2025 intake deadline.
To apply for undergraduate courses at the University of South Africa, it’s crucial to know when to apply and submit supporting documents. The application cycle closes on 22 November 2024, and late applications will not be processed for 2025 admissions. Postgraduate applicants for UNISA qualifications must submit their application documents within the application dates, including a receipt of a non-refundable processing fee of R135.00, through UNISA’s online application tool.

To apply to the University of South Africa, UNISA, go to www.unisa.ac.za and use a smart machine, such as a mobile phone or laptop with a compatible web browser. You must have your identity documents with you, such as a copy of your ID card if you are a South African citizen and the first page of your passport if you are an international student. Applying online is never difficult, especially if you follow the directions and prompts provided by the Unisa online application tool.
The Unisa application fee is a one-time, non-refundable fee for first-time or fresh candidates. For the 2025 intake, new applicants must pay an R135 fee via the UNISA online system. The application form for the 2025 academic year will not be processed until the R135.00 fee is paid.

Unisa University selects the best applicants for various qualifications based on minimum Admission Point Scores and academic requirements. However, meeting these does not guarantee admissions. Space availability is based on available spaces, and the “first come, first served” principle does not apply.
