We officially inform all potential applicants that the application forms for NSFAS funding for undergraduate programs at any of the 26 public universities and 50 Tvet Colleges will be formally available starting September 17, 2024, for the 2025–2026 academic year. Apply online at www.nsfas.org.za if you wish to pursue an undergraduate degree but are unable to pay for it.

When You Can Apply For NSFAS Funding For 2025

Applications are being accepted from students who meet the requirements to be admitted to undergraduate programs at any public university or Tvet College in South Africa for the academic year 2024–2025. Starting on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, anyone whose family gross income falls within the required income threshold can apply for NSFAS 2025 financing.

Applicants are advised to carefully consider the eligibility requirements and the application instructions before completing the online application form.

What prerequisites must one meet to apply for NSFAS 2025?

Must be a citizen or lawful permanent resident of South Africa
The annual gross household income should not be more than R350,000.
The annual gross household income of individuals with impairments should not surpass R600,000.
SASSA beneficiaries are immediately eligible financially.

Certified copy of Next-of-Kin ID

Postal code and city of the applicant and parents/Guardian.
A smart card with both sides is required.
Proof of income (where applicable).
Persons living with disability (Disability Annexure A form).
Vulnerable Child Declaration form by a social worker.
Non-SASSA Declaration for applicants with no family details or abridged birth certificate.

After that, Click on the ‘APPLY’ page to begin the application process
Provide the needed information on the online application form.
When relevant, upload all necessary supporting documentation.
Fill out the online forms and send in your application to be reviewed.
