Late Application Opportunity for Rhodes University 2026 Admissions

The online application for Rhodes University’s 2026 admissions opened on April 1 and has not yet closed for all qualifications. A few courses remain available for late applications, which are only accepted for courses that are not yet full. Once these courses reach capacity, they will no longer be available, even before the official late application deadline.

Even though the deadline for all new and returning student applications for admission to Rhodes University was November 30, 2025, for both undergraduate and graduate programs, late applications will be accepted starting December 1 only if there are still open courses. Applicants who apply after the deadline may have limited course options, so it is recommended to apply promptly to secure a place in desirable and respected courses.

Rhodes University Application Fee 2026

Initial applications for admission must be accompanied by a non-refundable application fee of R100 for all applicants. Late applications will be considered after the closing date. This will however not attract an extra application fee

Documents Required For Rhodes Late Applications

Submit the following documents before the closing dates for the 2026 late admissions

  1. A copy of your official school results.
  2. Your student number.
  3. Evidence that your Registration Fee has been cleared
  4. A copy of the deposit slip, if you have deposited money into the University account.
  5. If you have been awarded a bursary, a copy of your letter of the award should have been faxed through to the Fees Office.
  6. School leavers: Your final NSC/ A level / IGCSE results.
  7. Transferring students: Your transcript from your previous university and course outlines.
  8. International students:
  9. Proof of Initial Fee (IF) clearance by no later than 21 January 2024.
  10. Passport with a valid study visa to study specifically at Rhodes University.
  11. A medical aid membership certificate, which can be verified by Consultants, Simeka Health (Pty) Ltd
  12. If your A-level or IGCSE results are not available at the time of registration, you will not be permitted to register until they are. If you pre-registered, you will be given a confirmation number.
