Opening Date For Online course registration for UCT students

Skip the lines and secure your 2025 course choices from the comfort of your own home! Online registration for the University of Cape Town students is open now, from Monday, January 8th until Friday, January 19th. Don’t miss this chance to choose your classes before the in-person rush begins. After January 19th, registration will move to the in-person mode. To ensure smooth processing and avoid potential delays, we encourage you to register online sooner rather than later.

UCT Registration Fees For 2025

University of Cape Town’s registration fees for 2024 vary depending on several factors, including your citizenship status, program of study, and whether you’ll be living on campus. Here’s a breakdown:

South African citizens and South African permanent residents:

Tuition fee initial payment: R31,000 (or the full fee if lower than the initial payment)
Residence (catering) initial payment: R39,000
Residence (self-catering) initial payment: R26,000

International students from SADC region:

Tuition fee initial payment: Varies based on your program. Consult the Student Fees Handbook for details.
International Admin Service Fee: R3,750
