You can more readily monitor your progress if you are uncertain about your admission status following your application to the University of the Free State for the 2026 academic year. You can check your admission status at any time, from any location, with the new web application that the University of the Free State has created for smartphones and tablets.

When Will You Know Your Application Status at UFS?

The dashboard will display your application’s status after the University of the Free State’s admissions officers have rendered a decision. After the deadline, you can use your student number to check your enrollment status until your application is ultimately decided.

Check your email frequently for updates to stay informed. If nothing appears in your inbox, you can check your spam folder. You will likely receive an answer to your application within eight weeks of the deadline.

How to Track Application Status 2026 at the University of the Free State

To check your application status at the University of the Free State, follow these simple steps:

Open any internet browser and type www.ufs.ac.za in the URL
On the active page of the UFS website: Click on the ‘Students’ tab to navigate to KovsieLife.
Click the ‘Student Self Service’ tab on the active KovsieLife webpage.
After clicking on ‘Student Self Service’, you will be navigated to the Oracle PeopleSoft system.
Once you have navigated to the Oracle PeopleSoft system, do the following:
Type in your student number and Password text box and click on the ‘Sign In’ tab.
Application statuses of all application(s) made. Once you have successfully logged in on Oracle PeopleSoft, the system will navigate you to the ‘Student Services Center’.
On the active Student Services Center page, click ‘View Application’ to track your application(s) status

Congratulations if you are accepted into the University of the Free State, go ahead and print your acceptance letter and take further action to register for the first semester in 2026
