VUT 2026 Application Dates Now Available

The Vaal University of Technology will only be considering applications for 2026 received between April and November 2025. Any applications received after this deadline will be considered late and reviewed based on the availability of slots in the relevant courses. Merit-based applicants and those who applied early will be given preference, so apply before the closing date.

Failure to submit the necessary documentation and evidence of payment for the application fee on time may result in an incomplete application that will not be considered for admission.

VUT 2026 Application Cycle

The application cycle at the Vaal University of Technology is quite different from other universities in South Africa. While some UNIVERSITIES close by July 31, the Vaal University of Technology opens its 2026 application window in August.

VUT Undergraduate Application Dates: April 01 to October 311, 2025.
VUT Honours and Postgraduate Diplomas Application Dates: Same window as undergraduate programs, April 01 to October 311, 2025.
VUT Master’s and Doctoral Programs Application Dates: Opens on 1 April and closes on 10 November 2025.

Pay VUT Application Fee

The Vaal University of Technology charges a non-refundable application fee of R100.00 for new applicants, which must be paid promptly to complete the application process. Those with VUT student numbers are not exempt from paying the fee.
