Prospective students can begin applying for undergraduate or postgraduate courses for 2026 at UNIVEN starting April 1, 2025. The application portal will close on October 31, 2025. However, some courses may have earlier deadlines, and no late applications will be accepted, so it’s important to apply well before the closing date.

When to Submit Univen Application DOCUMENTS

Submitting your supporting documents on time does not guarantee admission, but it improves your chances. All required documents must be received by the University of Venda (UNIVEN) by October 31, 2025. While you may submit your application form without the supporting documents, the missing documents must be submitted by this deadline.

To complete your application, ensure that you submit a fully completed form along with certified (no older than one year) copies of your identity document, National Senior Certificate, and/or the latest academic results. A non-refundable R100 application fee is required for both local and international applicants, and the payment receipt must accompany any hard copy applications

A South African Identity number or passport number (international students)
Cell phone number
A working email address
Credit/debit card with CV number to pay the R100 application fee online.
Grade 11 report or statement of grade 12 results
A copy of the Matric Certificate
Copy of study /residence permit / medical insurance /SAQA Evaluation Certificate
