The final step in the application process is urging the selected candidates to officially register when the application procedure is over. All new students register electronically with the University of Johannesburg (UJ). To be a fully admitted student to the university, this is necessary.

If your application is accepted, you won’t need to visit the school for registration or questions because everything is handled online. For more details on registration, deadlines, and approved payment methods by the university, read this article.

Closing Dates for Registration 2024: Registration commences on 21 January 2023 and closes on 11 February 2023 (only online, and off-campus registrations will be allowed). Late registration cannot guarantee your sea.

To register for the first semester as a freshly enrolled undergraduate student, follow the step-by-step instructions.

  1. Log onto the registration portal @ https://ulink.uj.ac.za using your student Number and Password. Create a password if you have not.
  2. Click on the Classes tab and then click on My Registration (ITS iEnabler)
  3. Click on Registration on the left to start the registration process.
  4. Read the POPIA regulations and click on I Accept to continue
  5. Verify your personal contact details, address details, and contact person details
  6. You can generate a provisional proforma statement(if Needed)
  7. Click on the uploading of documents required to upload all the relevant documents for registration in 2023
  8. Click on Registration verification  to verify your registration status, minimum payments, outstanding documents, and web access to register
  9. Click on submit payment to make the payment
  10. Read the Academic Registration Rules, Regulations, and Indemnity and click on “I Accept” to proceed
  11. Click on submit Registration to confirm your qualification to be registered for.
  12. Enter your Employment status and select whether you are responsible for your fees. If not supply the name of the third party
  13. Click on SAVE AND CONTINUE to proceed
  14. Select the combination of your modules to be taken and click on SAVE AND PROCEED
  15. Verify the modules you plan to register for and click on continue
  16. Verify your registration cost and click on Accept Registration
  17. Print your Proof of Registration
  18. Click on Add subject to registration if you want to add extra subjects to your current registration or cancel subjects as permitted by the rules and regulations of the university.
  19. Click on Subject cancellation if you want to cancel subjects as permitted by the rules and regulations of the university. Module changes are allowed within the registration period
  20. Collect your student ID card after registration as soon as possible.

How to Effect Payment in 2024/2025

Credit cards: Paying with a credit card will facilitate the process because it will reflect on your student account immediately after payment.
