At the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, there are still classes open to new students. This is your chance to seize if you are still thinking about applying to the university for the academic year 2024/2025. Start your application processes by logging onto the application portal. Because there are only a limited number of spots available, applicants are encouraged to apply right away to prevent disappointment.

Is the Application open to all for the 2024/2025 academic year: Application openings at Cape Peninsula University of Technology are not for all to apply, the following category of applicants are expected to submit their online application with the supporting documents before the closing dates

• National applicants (those with a SA ID), such as those applying for refugee status, asylum, or permanent residency and holding a National Senior Certificate (NSC), Senior Certificate, National Vocal Certificate, or National Qualification
• National applicants (with an SA ID) with international qualifications already have SAQA certificates.
• Refugee/Asylum Seeker applicants with international qualifications already have SAQA certificates.
• Permanent residency applicants with SA ID and international qualifications already have SAQA certificates.
• Regretfully no RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) applications will be considered.

2nd, 3rd, 4th year of Studies for Continuing students; Next Level of Studying programmes (i.e. Advanced Diploma, Post Graduate Diploma; Masters and Doctoral programmes)

Full Research Masters and Doctoral programmes are still open for online applications and only close 15 March 2024

2024 Late applications are open for certain programmes with available spaces for the following category of continuing students and studying levels:

• CPUT students who have taken a gap in their studies and wish to complete their studies
• Phasing out programmes (e.g. National Diploma, B Tech, M Tech, D Tech programmes)
• Advanced Diploma programmes (Students who have completed a National Diploma/Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent studies)
• Undergraduate students transferring from other universities
• Postgraduate Diploma Studies
• Postgraduate Studies – Master Course-Based programmes
• Postgraduate Studies – Masters & Doctoral programmes
