30 September 2024 for international student applications (excluding MBChB, BPharm & BRad)

If they are not submitted by the stated deadlines, your applications for 2025 will be rejected.

Nelson Mandela University 2025 Application Fee

Great news for both South African undergraduate and postgraduate applicants! The application is free of charge for the 2025 application season. Unless you are an international student or applicant with international credentials, you can submit a free application to Nelson Mandela University (NMU)

All international applicants including undergraduate and postgraduate candidates must pay a non-refundable application fee of R500 when applying to study at Nelson Mandela University for the academic year 2025. It is non-refundable because the outcome of your application will not affect the payment already made.

Transfer Students

Online applications for admission in 2025 should be submitted by 2 August 2024 (excluding MBChB, BPharm & BRad). Late applications will be considered until 30 September 2024 based on academic merit.

- School leaving certificate.
Module exemptions require a completed form and a fee, along with copies of module outlines.
Application fees apply to international applicants (R500).
