The University of Fort Hare (UFH) welcomes applications from all qualified individuals, regardless of their background, for admission in 2025. This includes South African and international students, who can apply for government funding or as private candidates. The application window opens from June 1 to November 30, 2024. This applies to both undergraduate and graduate students from South Africa and beyond. Don’t wait until the last minute, as space is limited! Get your application and supporting documents in order early to increase your chances of securing a spot.

Apply Online for Undergraduate & Postgraduate Studies!

The University of Fort Hare (UFH) is streamlining its admissions process! All applications for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs are now exclusively accepted online.

No need for email applications: To ensure a smooth and efficient process, UFH encourages all applicants to submit their applications electronically. This online system offers a user-friendly interface and allows you to track the progress of your application easily.

Hardcopy option still available: If you face challenges with the online application, you can submit a hardcopy form in person at any of the four UFH campuses or send it via post to the University.

University of Fort Hare Online Application Fee

The application fee for submitting your UFH application online is R120. To pay this fee, you’ll need to deposit to the following Standard Bank account:

Remember to submit your proof of payment along with your application and any other required documents to ensure your application is considered valid.

UFH 2025 Application Required Documents

Prospective applicants can submit or upload the following documents

Identity Document
Marriage Certificate (if applicable)
Original Proof of payment of application fee
Grade 11 Final Results and Term 1 Grade 12 Results (If you are currently doing matric)
Matric Certificate
SAQA clearance certificate (all undergrad nursing students)
Academic Record, including proof that the Certificate of Conduct has been requested from the previous University / University of Technology / Technikon if you had registered at another institution.
