We’re excited to announce the application of Tshwane University of Technology and when you can apply to study for the 2025-2026 academic year as a domestic or international student. Once the application portal is open and activated, all you will require is an email address and ID number to Complete the online application form via www.tut.ac.za, the application link. The application form is opening from March 01 to 30 September 2024
The Tshwane University of Technology TUT will offer applications to all post-secondary school prospects in March 2024 to begin applying for undergraduate or postgraduate degrees for the academic year 2025-2026. The Tshwane University of Technology TUT’s online application form will be closed on September 30, 2024, with no further application window or late applications.
When to Submit TUT Application DOCUMENTS in 2025-2026
The timely submission of your supporting documents does not guarantee admission, but it does increase your chances. All supporting documents must be received by the Tshwane University of Technology TUT by September 30, 2024. You may submit your application form without the supporting documents; however, the missing documents must be submitted by September 30, 2024.
TUT Opening Date for Online Application for 2025 is open on 01 March 2024 for all students who want to advance their education beginning in 2024. The Tshwane University of Technology TUT online application closing date is September 30, 2024. Late applications will not be accepted.
TUT must receive a fully completed application form, as well as recently certified (no older than one year) copies of your original identity document, (National) Senior Certificate, and/or highest academic results, and the administration fee, by the specified closing dates.

All applicants should provide the following supporting documents for application:
- A completed application form
- A copy of your results for the latest school year
- A copy of your ID
- If you have attended another higher education institution, we need a copy of your academic transcript
- Copies of your original identity document, (National) Senior Certificate, and highest academic results, and the administration fee must reach TUT before the specified closing dates.
TUT Online Application Fee for 2025-2026
A non-refundable fee of R240 for the application, and certified copies of your identity document, Senior Certificate/National Senior Certificate and all other relevant documents must accompany the application.

To apply to the Tshwane University of Technology TUT, follow the steps below:
- Go to the TUT website at www.tut.ac.za
- At the top of the TUT homepage, click on the “MENU” tab
- A drop-down list of items appears
- Click on “Study at TUT”
- After that, click on “I want to Study”
- Read the information you see on the screen very carefully
- Then, click on “What can I study” on the left side of the page to view TUT’s various programmes and courses for 2023 and their specific admission requirements and decide on the programme of choice
- Click on the “Admission Point Score” to know the specific TUT AP Score for 2025. This is to assist prospective students in checking if they meet the minimum course entry requirements before they
apply for a specific course at TUT. - Also, click on “Admission Requirements to view the minimum general admission requirements at TUT
- Go to Application information, complete and submit your application online.
TUT Entry Requirements for 2025-2026
A prospective student will not be admitted to any qualification without submitting a formal application form with all prescribed supporting documents and completing all official admission procedures. To study at TUT, you need to meet the requirements
- A pass mark in English at Senior Certificate level (minimum additional language; certain programmes may require first or home language status)
- Each course has its specific admission requirements.
- Prospective students should note that the admission requirements of individual programmes could change from year to year.
- For some programmes, students will be required to write an admission test, which will determine whether they will be admitted to the programme, or whether it will be recommended to them that they enroll in a relevant foundation course.
