The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) will open its 2025 application link in September, accepting and processing applications from qualified but needy students. All qualified Students can get funding by completing an online form within the application period.

NSFAS Application Dates 2025

The NSFAS application cycle for 2025 is open to South African citizens with a family annual gross income below R350,000 (R350K) who are enrolled in a university or Tvet college. Prospective beneficiaries must meet all NSFAS selection criteria to qualify for funding for the academic year 2025. The application link is now open from September 2024 to January 2025 for prospective undergraduate students.

How to Apply for NSFAS Funding

The application form can be completed by following the steps below

  • Simply enter www.nsfas.org.za into your browser.
  • Choose “myNSFAS” from the drop-down menu.
  • Click the “Create a myNSFAS account” option.
  • Verify your account
  • Click the “Apply Now” tab to start the application process.
  • Fill in the blanks provided on the screen.
  • Update contact details.
  • Click “Submit” to send the application for evaluation.
  • To track the status of your application, log back into the account
