🔹 Undergraduate Applicants

All undergraduate applications must be submitted via the Central Applications Office (CAO):

🔹 Postgraduate Applicants

📍 CAO Fees (Undergraduate Applicants):

    • R470 (South African citizens)
    • R580 (International applicants)

Payments are made online on the CAO website or via bank deposit. Use your CAO number as a reference.

DUT postgraduate portal may request a separate fee during online submission.

📝 Step-by-Step Application Process for Postgraduates

Follow this if you’re applying directly through DUT (postgraduate only):

  1. Create Application ID
  • Go to the DUT application portal
  • Click “Create Temporary ID”

  • Use your User ID and password
  • Click Sign In
  1. Start New Application
  • Click “Apply for Admission”
  • Choose Begin New Application
  1. Fill in Programme & Year
  • Select Application Type and 2026 Academic Year
  • Click Continue
  1. Complete Sections

Move through each page:

  • Personal Info, Contact Info
  • Study Choices (up to 4 programmes)
  • Address Details
  • Demographics (race, religion, language)
  • Disability declaration (if applicable)
  • Next of Kin & Emergency Contact
  • Education History
  • Employment and References (optional for postgrads)

  • Accept the student declaration

  • Click Validate Application
