DUT Application Online Now Open For 2027 Academic Intake

The Durban University of Technology, situated in KwaZulu-Natal, is pleased to announce the opening of admissions for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for the 2027 academic year.

DUT offers 55 academic programmes across six faculties, providing diverse, research-driven, and industry-focused qualifications, including Higher Certificates, Diplomas, Bachelor’s degrees, Master’s degrees, MBA, MPhil, and PhD programmes. These are delivered through its various colleges, schools, institutes, centres, and departments.

Application Period

  • Applications open on 1 March 2026.

  • The closing date is 31 October 2026.

  • All applications must be completed and submitted before the deadline. Late submissions will incur an extra application fee starting from November 1, 2026

Who Can Apply For DUT 2027

Students who wish to begin a new qualification at the Durban University of Technology (DUT) for the 2027 academic year are encouraged to apply.

How Much Is the DUT Application Fee 2027

All first-time South African and international applicants to the Durban University of Technology (DUT) must apply through the Central Applications Office (CAO). CAO has the following processing fees:

Application Fees

  • South African citizens: R250

  • International applicants: R300

  • Fees are payable via the CAO website.

  • Application fees are non-refundable, even if the application is rejected or withdrawn.

Where to Apply For DUT Admissions 2027

Undergraduate applicants must apply through the Central Applications Office (CAO).

Postgraduate applicants are required to apply directly to DUT via the university’s official website.
