Application Date For NSFAS Funding 2025

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) will open applications for 2025 on 16 September 2024, with a deadline of 30 November 2024, giving applicants 91 days to complete and submit their forms.

Who Qualifies to be Funded By NSFAS

NSFAS Bursary Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for an NSFAS bursary for your studies,

  1. A student in South Africa must be registered or intending to register for an approved qualification at a public university or TVET college.
  2. Students from households with income exceeding R350,000 per annum cannot apply for NSFAS bursaries as they are not eligible for such funds.
  3. Students with disabilities are eligible for NSFAS funding if they have a household income of up to R600,000 per year.

  • To finish the section, click the Create a myNSFAS account option.

  • The answers to the questions on the screen should be used to fill in the blanks.
  • You should update all of your data.
  • Please include any required supplementary materials.
  • Finally, click “Submit” to send your application for evaluation.
