Who Qualifies for NSFAS 2024 Funding?
You must meet the following requirements to be eligible for NSFAS funding for the current academic year.
- Citizens of South Africa or permanent residents
- Recipients of SASSA grants
- Applicants with less than R350 000 in total annual gross family income; persons with disabilities with less than R600 000 in total annual gross household income.
- A student who has a phone number and an email address.
- To be eligible, you must attend South Cape Tvet College.
- You must be enrolled in an NSFAS-approved course.
Please Note:
There is no age limit for the bursary and SASSA grant beneficiaries immediately qualify for funding
What You Need to Apply for NSFAS 2024?
You will need the following to complete your NSFAS application:
- You have your own phone number and email address;
- Copy of your ID or birth certificate;
- ID copies of parents, guardians, or spouse;
- Your proof of income or 1 year’s IRP5 (if applicable);
- Your parents, guardian, or spouse’s proof of income;
- If you are a SASSA grant recipient, no proof of income will be required;
- Applicants with a disability must submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form;
- An applicant who is recognised as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development must provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.

How to Apply for NSFAS Bursary 2024 at South Cape College
Apply for NSFAS funding as a South Cape TVET College student by following the steps outlined below.

- Step 2 0f 7: Create a myNSFAS account before applying.
