South West Tvet College Online Application 2024/2025

All students in Grades 10 through 12 at South West Gauteng TVET College have the chance to pursue their education or enhance their careers in the sectors of business, engineering, and utility/general studies. Some programs only have a finite number of openings. To avoid disappointment, prospective students are recommended to apply for enrollment at the College RIGHT AWAY.

So long as they meet the prerequisites, they are welcoming any qualified and eager prospective students to apply for any of the courses or programs that are offered.

When can I apply for my desired courses in 2024/2025: The application window is open from the month of June through to November for some selected courses. See the table below to see the available openings for admissions. Late applications will not be considered!

How to Apply

  •  Paper-based Application forms can be obtained at any of the College Sites/ Campuses and, or on the College Website; www.swgc.co.za
  • Online Applications can be found on the College’s Website: www.swgc.co.za and/or https://ienabler.swgc.co.za/pls/prodi03/w99pkg.mi_login and may be completed electronically, please ensure to follow the system rules.

Application Process

Step 1: Select your preferred programme of study

  • Application forms can be obtained at any of the College Sites/Campuses and, or on the College Website; www.swgc.co.za
  • Go to the College Prospectus, http://www.swgc.co.za/swgc-prospectus-2015/  and select the programme/s that you wish to study for.

Step 2: How to fill out the hard copy form

  • Hard-copy application forms must be completed using a black pen, with clear printing. You must sign your application form. Application forms that are not signed will not be processed.

  • Please note that the application form is not a registration form, the registration forms will be made available to successful applicants.

An incomplete application will result in delays in processing.

Step 3: Attach supporting documents

All applications require supporting documents to be submitted to the College.

Completed Application forms must be accompanied by the following documents:

  • Certified copy of the latest results/qualification
  •  Certified copy of Identity document
  • An attached medical statement from a registered doctor if you have any disability or ongoing medical condition that will require you to seek special assistance from the College,

NB: The College cannot consider your application if all required supporting documentation is not attached.

Step 4: Application fee: There is no application fee required.

When to Expect feedback on your application for 2023: Applicants will be notified of their acceptance or non-acceptance status after two weeks of receiving their applications.

Admission and Selection Criteria

For entry into the NVC at NQF Level 2, you require:

  •  A year-end report for Grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 or an
  •  An NQF Level 1 qualification, or
  • An approved bridging program designed for the specific purpose of accessing  NQF Level 2, or
  • A Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment to meet the basic requirements for access to NQF Level 2.
