Remember this as an applicant for 2024 admissions: Applications are open via Central Applications Office (CAO) as from applications are open via Central Applications Office (CAO) from January 2023. The college will close the process by the end of October 2023.

Before you apply online for admission:  Applicants would be asked to write the placement test. This is mandatory for all applicants who are interested in studying at the college. Applicant can preferably choose their two study courses besides the screening test.

Instructions for the Placement Testing: Once you have registered on the “First time here?” Button, complete everything in the “Pre-Entry Information” folder only. Click on each button and complete All the screening batteries in this folder. Click the “Finish” button at the end of each assessment. Do not let anyone else complete this screening for you. You will be recommended for the wrong course. If someone else conducts the screening, you will perform poorly in the course recommended by our site.

How to Apply Online via the CAO Office

• To apply, go to www.cao.ac.za and click the ‘Apply’ option.
• After reading the material, click the ‘Continue with Application’ button.
• Click ‘Submit’ after entering your ID or passport number.
• Click on ‘Continue with Application’ at the bottom of the page.
• Begin entering ALL of the needed information. Click ‘Next’ once you’ve completed all of the required fields.
• Select ‘Continue with Online Application’ from the drop-down menu.
• Your CAO number, password, and EasyPay number will show in a pop-up window. Read the directions carefully.
• ‘Continue with Online Application’ should be selected.
• Then click ‘Next’ after following the instructions and providing all of the needed information.
• Click ‘Next’ after filling out the ‘Next of Kin’ information.
• Click ‘Search’ after entering the school’s name. The name of the institution will display in a box, and you must
• fill in the years you attended and graduated from that school.
• Next, click the ‘Next’ button.
• Click the button when you get to ‘Process My Application.’
• Your submission will be marked as successful by a message on your screen.
• You can now pay and/or upload your supporting documents via the internet.
