Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) is now accepting applications for undergraduate and postgraduate programs for the 2026 academic year, starting in January 2026. Applications are open from April 1, 2025, to September 30, 2025, for various qualifications, including certificates, diplomas, degrees, and doctorates. Ensure you meet the program’s requirements before applying. To apply online, visit the TUT application portal at www.tut.ac.za.

To apply for admission follow the procedure below

  • Get access to stable internet and enter www.tut.ac.za.
  • A vаlіd е-mаіl address іѕ required before an еlесtrоnіс аррlісаtіоn can be ѕubmіttеd.
  • A nоn-rеfundаblе fее оf R240 fоr аррlісаtіоn can be deposited bеfоrеhаnd
  • In the Rеfеrеnсе соlumn, рlеаѕе fill іn уоur іdеntіtу number. NB. Do not use thіѕ account numbеr fоr any furthеr рауmеntѕ.
  • Rеfеrеnсе numbеr: Whеn thе аррlісаtіоn hаѕ bееn processed, thе аррlісаnt will be аllосаtеd a unique rеfеrеnсе numbеr (his/her ѕtudеnt number) for іdеntіfісаtіоn рurроѕеѕ.

TUT Application Form 2026

​​A fully completed application form and recently certified (certification may not be older than one year) copies of your original identity document and (National) Senior Certificate and highest academic results, as well as the administration fee, must reach TUT before the specified closing dates.​​

Does TUT Accept Late Applications after the Closing Date

Late applications will only be considered if space is available in the desired programs, as TUT has a limited capacity for each program. Applicants are encouraged to apply as early as possible in 2026 to increase their chances of acceptance.

TUT Application Fee Payable 2026

All applicants applying for undergraduate or postgraduate qualifications must submit a non-refundable application fee of R240 along with their application forms. The fee will not be refunded, even if you are admitted to TUT. Applications submitted without the R240 fee will not be processed.

  • No cash payments will be accepted on any TUT campus.
  • Credit cards, debit cards, and bank-guaranteed cheques are accepted forms of payment that can be made at any of the University’s campuses.
